Basic Snowboarding Gear
Buying basic snowboarding gear be it boards, boots, goggles...etc is definitely a good buy. These days even when you buy cheap snowboard gear it's of good quality. They certainly don't compare to the advanced snowboarding gear. But if you don't have a lot of money, you can buy cheap snowboarding gear with the confidence that you aren't getting ripped off.
The main difference between the two are the materials used in the construction of the products. Cheap snowboarding gear uses less quality materials in its production. For example, cheap snowboard bindings use a harder plastic that when exposed to cold temperatures will snap. On the other hand if you like to jib around a lot and you don't have too much money to spend you can buy a cheap snowboard and end up loving it because they are so soft and flexible.
The bottom line is being able to ride. If you have to buy basic snowboard gear in order to go riding than thats good because at least you are going riding. Snowboarding is really just sliding down a snow covered hill with a piece of plastic strapped to our feet. When you look at it that way it really doesn't matter if you buy cheap snowboard gear or not.
