Crested Butte Review
Crested Butte is one of the last small scale Colorado mountain towns. Mountain scenery looks best when it's not cluttered with huge developments. The resort is located just a few minutes down the road from the town. They actually have a free shuttle bus that goes back and forth. At the resort you will find lodging, restaurants, shopping, and of course the mountain.
If you like steep runs then Crested Butte is the place for you. They are known for having some of the steepest lift-serviced runs in the USA. They also have 550 acres of ungroomed terrain, which means it will be sick if you catch it on a powder day.
If you like park they have 3 parks at Crested Butte. They have the 400 foot long, 17 foot deep DC Superpipe. The DC Terrain Park, has a new smoother layout. They have the Keystone Park with plenty of low key rails and more. Then there is the Painter Boy Terrain Park, which is the place for first timers at park. Plus, they have "Park Pods" like jibs, jumps, bonks, and such all over the mountain. Sounds pretty cool doesn't it?
