Plan Snowboard Trip

So you want to go snowboarding this winter, but you don’t know where or how much is going to cost you.

Deciding how much money you would like to spend and how long you will be able to get off work or school are the first things you need to figure out.

From there you can go to your dream vacation or head to a near by mountain.

In your planning you need to include, money for travel, rent a car if you are not driving there, food, rental equipment and some extra for lost gloves or any little thing you might want to buy.

Checking out resort web pages can give you a good idea on how much lodging will cost, you can locate a near by town and find better prices on lodging and food. Sometimes you can find great deals, hotels with lift tickets included. I’ve gone to Stratton Mt. in the spring for $250 for two people, two nights and included lift tickets for 2 days right across the street from the lift.

I’ve have also gone to Stratton Mt. for the US OPEN and was not able to find a place to stay and had to spend the night in Jamaica (town near by) on some hostels couch, only to brush my teeth, get dressed in the bathroom at Stratton Mt. and find out that the event I was entering had been canceled!.

Planning ahead usually works out better.

Look around the internet, call hotels, ask for deals they may be having. Call a friend that snowboards, the more people, the cheaper it gets, you may even be able to rent an entire house and ski in and out of it.
