Setting Up A SnowboardSetting up a snowboard is one of the most important things you can do. Your snowboard is the source of your fun and having a board that is perfectly setup only increases your fun. There are four things to consider when setting up a snowboard, your front binding angels, your rear binding angles, how far apart your bindings are from each other, and centering your bindings on your snowboard. Follow the links at the bottom of this page for help on setting up a snowboard.
I remember when I first started riding I didn't know too much about setting up a snowboard. I guess part of the fun was learning what snowboard stance and snowboard binding angles I liked. Now I ride 23" apart and 21 degrees in the front and -21 degrees in the back. It is considered a duck stance or jibber's stance.
There are so many different ways you can setup your snowboard. You just have to play around with it until you find the one setup you like best.
One of the biggest issues with big-footed snowboards is toe or heel drag. This is when your toes or heels or both hang further out than you edges. When you go to make a turn on your edge you actually turn on your toes or heels. It can be very frustrating. Below are tips on how to fix your toe or heel drag.
