Snowboard Globe
Buying Guide
Cold wet hands can bring any good day to an end. The snowboard glove buying guide will help you find the perfect pair.
Gloves are very important to snowboarders. They should be able to keep your hands warm and dry. You don't want to get frostbite, or not be able to tighten down your bindings. There are all kinds of snowboard gloves for all kinds of conditions. These are the things to know before you buy snowboard gloves.
Snowboard Gloves Buying Guide: Gloves or mittens
It's weird some days I like riding with gloves and others I wanna ride with mittens. I thinks a lot of the time it depends on the weather. If it's warm and sunny I like my gloves, but if it's cold I ride with my mittens. Mittens keep your hands warmer because all your fingers are close together. If you are prone to cold hands then you should buy a pair of glove liners, if your gloves don't already come with them. If it is going to be warm you might want to wear pipe gloves. They will protect you from the snow, but not cold weather.
Snowboard Gloves Buying Guide: Waterproofing
Before you buy snowboard gloves you should make sure that the waterproofing will work in your climate. If you are riding in a wet climate like in the northwest you will want to buy snowboard gloves that are really waterproof. They might cost more money but they will be so worth it. Check out gloves that our made with Gore-tex. Gore-tex is the ultimate in waterproofing.
Other features
There are other features that you should know before you buy snowboard gloves. For example, some gloves come with vents for when it's warm or pockets to put hand warmers when it's cold. Some snowboard gloves come with a little squeegee for cleaning your snowboard goggle lenses. One of the best features that some snowboard gloves come with are a little soft fleece lined patch on the thumb used for cleaning your nose. When it's cold out and you are flying down a mountain your nose will run, having something soft to wipe it on is way better than letting it drip. That is just nasty.
Before you buy snowboard gloves make sure that they also will fit with your look. You don't want to have everything else goin' on but have some looking funky gloves.
