Snowboarding Techniques

frontside board slid snowboarding trick, snowboarding technique

Snowboarding Techniques are a must read section before you go out there and start killin' it. While a professional snowboarder is doing a 50-50 grind on a kink rail you may be wondering if you will ever be able to do that. They say practice makes perfect but lets not kill ourselves while practicing.

There are a lot of ways to start improving on your tricks but the most important one is being able to ride very comfortably on your board. In these next pages you can find some tips to improve and start taking your riding to the next level. There are different kinds of snowboarding, slalom, backcountry, tree riding, some people only ride at the park, within riding the park some only ride pipe, others only do rails, etc.

Find what you like the most and focus your mind, visualize what you want your body to do. I like to think that my snowboard is an extension of my body. If you are an intermediate rider looking to learn some of the more advance tricks there is a few places that offer aerial classes, you should contact your local recreational center.

Make sure you check the "butters" section, most definitely one of my favorite snowboarding tricks to do.

Better snowboarding techniques come from mental and physical training. You can't expect to just show up to the mountain with out preparation and start to kill it.

You have to practice, train(indo board is great for this),focus your thoughts on and off the mountain. There is a huge list of things to do if you want to be better snowboarding. If you are a beginner snowboarder you need to know the rules of snowboarding.

If you don't know these simple rules you could end up hurting yourself or someone else. Then there is a big list of snowboarding tricks that you can start learning. The best way to learn new snowboard tricks is by focusing on one at a time. Don't go crazy either and pick the hardest trick.

Work your way up to things. Besides some of the best looking tricks are the basic ones. Take a hand plant for example, this is a totally old school trick, people were doing this trick in skateboarding way before they were doing it in snowboarding.
