Protective Gear

Accidents happen when you least expect them, that's why it's a good idea to wear snowboarding protective gear. Getting sidelined by a totally preventable accident sucks.

Last winter I was messing around doing some backside tail butter spins when I caught my heel edge, it just threw me on my back and whipped my head on the snow. Fortunately I was wearing my helmet, other wise that would have been the end of my day, or maybe even a concussion.

Protective gear is the way to go if you want to help prevent an injury from happening to you. All level of snowboarders wear protective gear. Actually the better you get the more you might want to wear them because you are going for way bigger tricks than someone just starting out.

So don't think that it's stupid looking to wear protective gear. Check out the links below for information on different kinds of protective gear.

Snowboarding Pads for beginners: Is it necessary?

NO, snowboard pads are not necessary for beginners, but they are recommended. Falling is something that is going to happen especially when learning to snowboard.
