Snowboarding To Nirvana Review

Snowboarding to Nirvana Review, the book was written by Frederick Lenz,Ph.D., also known as "Rama" and "Atmananda" born February 9, 1950, Died April 12, 1998, he evolved a unique body of teachings from a blend of Hinduism, Zen Buddhism, Vedanta and Mysticism which he called American Buddhism. Students claim that he was a fully enlightened teacher, He based his teachings on ancient practices within a modern framework.

The book is amazing, it is a good story about a snowboarder, the writer himself Frederick, that travels to the Himalayas and meets with a Buddhist monk, Master Fwap. The monk can snowboard with out bindings and teaches him to let his snowboard be an extension to his body. I like the book because is different and it mixes mysticism with snowboarding, there is a love interest, and even the date of his death was told.

After I was done reading the book and started to investigate this guy I came across a few articles that say Frederick was a cult leader, womanizer and committed suicide with some girl and their dogs? Makes me wonder the truth of it all but the book it's entertaining and does touch the dreamer in all of us. I recommended it and give it 5 stars.
