Snowboarding Training

Snowboarding TrainingWorkout Without Weights doesn't have to be difficult or require a gym membership. These exercises will help your over all snowboarding fitness. A good diet, will give you a healthy mind and a body ready for snowboarding.

You are going to need some light weights, a swiss ball (exercise ball) and it would be a good idea to get an Indo board, excellent training for snowboarding rails. You should always consult with your physician before starting any new exercise program.

At first if you are not used to working out it can be a drag but later once you realize that your legs didn't shake like they did the first day last season you will be convinced that snowboarding training is the way to go. A ten minute workout can improve your riding 100%. The hardest part is committing yourself to do them. You will feel better and the wipe outs won't be so damaging.

Does snowboarding training really make you ride better?

Absolutely. Snowboarding uses so many muscles. If you don't have strong enough muscles you will not be riding for more than an hour or two before you legs get tired. Snowboard exercises will help developed those needed muscles to give you the strength to ride hard and long.

What are those needed muscles?
Obviously your legs, but maybe not so obvious are your core muscles. A strong stomach, back, glutes, & obliques are one of the most important muscles to develop for snowboarding. Check out the links below for more info about the benefits of strong core muscles, plus check out the ultimate snowboarding exercise link below for tips on how to develop your core muscles.

You can't complete your snowboarding training without incorporating some stretches. If you just exercised all the time and never stretched your muscles would grow but become very stiff. Being flexible is very important to snowboarding. If you are too stiff you might end up pulling something, so make sure to incorporate some stretching into your training. Check out the snowboard stretches below for more info.
