Snowboard Riding StylesThere are many different snowboard riding styles because each individual has their own unique style. Of course there are more obvious styles such as freeride snowboarding and freestyle snowboarding. A snowboarding riding style is all about expressing yourself and how you feel at that moment. There aren't any exact rules that you have to follow or anything like that to be considered a freerider or freestyler. In today's world of snowboarding you could even add a few more different snowboard riding styles, such as jibber, or park rat. Some people devote their entire time on the mountain riding just trees and they develop their own style of doing so. I'm one of them, I spent at least 50% of my snowboarding in the trees searching for untouched stashes of powder. There are certain tree runs that will have powder weeks after the last dump. It doesn't matter what you like to ride on your snowboard as long as you are having fun. That being said though, looking good while doing it is important too. I've seen plenty of riders who have been snowboarding for 5 years or more but never took the time to develop their riding style. That is why it is important that you take the time to read the links on this page. They will help you improve how you look on the mountain. Because lets face it nowadays everybody can do tricks on a snowboard, therefore it is extremely important to look your best while doing so.
