Twin Tip Snowboard

A twin tip snowboard has identically shaped nose and tail. The binding holes are set up so you can ride with a centered snowboard stance. A centered stance is when your front binding & nose are the same distance away from each other as your back binding & tail are.

Twin tip's are used for freestyle snowboarding. Freestyle snowboarding is my favorite style of riding. You approach the mountain differently. Treating the whole mountain like it is a big jib park is freestyle snowboarding. Riding fakie is a big part of freestyle. Having a twin tip only makes switchstance (fakie) snowboarding riding easier. Since everything is even, riding fakie feels the same as riding normal. Don't get me wrong you can still ride freestyle with a directional snowboard I just find it better with a twin tip.

Since twin tips are all even it makes riding them easier. If you are a beginner you should really consider buying a twin tip snowboard. If you are about to drop some untouched powder fields you might want to look more closely about buying a directional snowboard or check out all the different types of snowboards.
